Uttar Pradesh Partners with World Bank to Launch UP AGREES & AI Pragya Initiatives

On May 9, 2025, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, alongside World Bank President Ajay Banga, launched two major initiatives — UP AGREES and AI Pragya — aimed at transforming agriculture and building digital skills across the state. Backed by the World Bank, these programs align with UP’s goal of becoming a $1 trillion economy.

(Uttar Pradesh Accelerated Growth through Resilient, Equitable and Sustainable Agriculture)

  • Targets 28 districts in Bundelkhand and Purvanchal

  • Promotes technology-driven and climate-resilient farming

  • Aims to boost agricultural productivity and rural livelihoods

🤖 AI Pragya

  • Goal: Train 10 lakh youth in AI and digital technologies

  • Focus sectors: Education, healthcare, governance, and agriculture

  • Builds UP’s digital talent pipeline in line with Digital India & Skilling India missions

Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Mirzapur, Ballia, Banda, Jhansi, Kushinagar, Sonbhadra, and more
